Safety
Take immediate action when observing safety violations that are life threatening or pose risk of serious injury, otherwise, advise Shift Supervisor of safety and procedural violations or variances so the Shift Supervisor can take the appropriate action.

Follows all Company Safety policies and procedures, and local rules and regulations at all times.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide expert technical advice to investigate and resolve analysis-related problems.
Review and monitor production processes to ensure that refinery activities are operating in a stable environment.
Monitor systems to ensure developing problems are identified and resolved as quickly as possible
Advise Production Managers on technical operating problems.
Perform routine testing on raw feedstock and materials, in-process products, and/or finished goods according to company standards, customer specifications, and any applicable regulatory standards.
Sample waste water and treated water to ensure water treatment plant is operating properly.
Perform routine testing to meet and maintain certification standard.
Sample refinery output to confirm product is within specifications.
Conduct analysis and other chemical analysis as requested, conduct laboratory analysis on other materials as needed.
Perform preventive and periodic maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
Assist with the establishment of operating procedures for the laboratory and other areas of the company as needed.
Ensure cleanliness by maintaining housekeeping of laboratory as per the usage
Supervision
Supervises staff at the level determined by senior management
Miscellaneous
Undertakes similar or related work as directed by senior management.
3. Working Environment
Spending 70% of the time on a normal laboratory condition.

5. Background Knowledge & Experience. |

5.1 Education Level – Minimum Preferred |
A degree in analytical organic chemistry Experience under similar hydrocarbon processing fields. |

5.2 Work Experience
|
At least 3-5 year in technical laboratory work in a refinery or petrochemical plant performing routine detailed analysis. |

5.3 Skills Required |
Written and spoken English Good written and spoken Kurdish Must be physically fit Excellent analytical skills Problem solving skills Good reporting skills Attention to detail |
