Job Purpose

Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning and on-site execution of any maintenance work in the power plant for turbine, generator, controls and governor equipment, BOPs, transformers, electrical systems. Preparation of on-site activities will include ownership of the on-time delivery of products or components required at site and acting as the eyes and ears of O&M support while supporting plant and operation manager to dealing closely with the activities, reliability and operability of the plant smoothly and efficiently.  

The role will be responsible for supervising planned and unplanned maintenance. Planned maintenance will include weekly, monthly and annual inspections. Major overhauls will also be performed on a multi-year basis. Unplanned maintenance will require rotational on-call response to forced-outage events 24/7.

According to business needs, may be required to support other projects within new GTs and combined cycle extension for Site supervision and/or Site Execution needs.

The maintenance manager functionally and operationally will report to the Plant Manager. The Maintenance Manager will be required to follow the field operation processes, training requirements and best practices.

Close contact with the field team is the position’s significant duty in order to motivate the team see closely the issues while supporting them and mentoring them effectively.

Responsible for maintenance department strategy establishment and implementation.

Main Tasks and Accountabilities

Individual Accountabilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to planning, scheduling, costing, execution strategy, schedule, cost tracking, inventory supervision and site resource planning. 

Primary focus on Health, Safety and Environmental protection;

Organization of tools, spare parts and consumables including inventory and storage management;

Planning and supervision and technical support during daily, weekly and monthly inspections on turbo generators, as per maintenance plan. This will include technical support and supervision of work;

Planning and supervision of annual maintenance work during planned outage;

Review and confirmation of inspection reports;

Participation effectively in technical and managerial meetings;

Manage site documentation and ISO requirement;

Ability of HAZOP study

Participate in design reviews, development of Lessons Learned, and the Feedback of Experience process with Engineering and update maintenance accordingly;

Be the first responder to emergency calls to secure equipment, drive troubleshooting and lead troubleshooting team until the machine is safely returned to service;

Build strong relationship with O&M and HSE team while demonstrating success in the execution of the jobs.

Strong communication with all departments such as operation, EHS, Admin, supply chain, IT, HR etc.

Having free discussion meeting with divisions supervisors and whole team on weekly and monthly basis and report the issues to plant manager in order to orient the issue on their correct channel.

Conflict management is one of the main responsibilities of this position.

Strong communication skill with other departments and mainly with O&M team.

Preparing FMEA to enhance spare part management system.

Review CMMS system, the security level,

Plant logic and controlling system security is one of major responsibility of maintenance manager and relevant procedure should be in place and approved by GM.

Background Knowledge and Experience

Education Level – Minimum Preferred

 

  

 A Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

Professional Qualifications or licenses

Preferred in

  • MS-office
  • AutoCAD
  • CMMS
  • Good English skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience;
  • 10 years’ experience in plant industries and at least 5 years of experience in combined cycle power plant;
  • Able to read, interpret and update (redline) drawings;
  • Able to safely use standard hand and power tools;
  • Able to use various tools;
  • Technical autonomy in (proactively) advising on solutions and making decisions in the plant
  • Able and willing to work in sometimes awkward confined spaces to execute technical inspections or maintenance work
  • At ease with IT tools, incl. MS Office, Project, Outlook, AutoCAD, primavera;
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited, reference verification and background check;

Work Experience

 

  • 10 years’ experience in plant industries and at least 5 years of experience in combined cycle power plant.
