Job Purpose
Service and repair for all Electronics Equipment which is allocated. Conducts the rapid and accurate servicing or repair of allocated equipment.
Main Tasks and Accountabilities
- Work on a variety of appliances to carry out servicing or Receive enquiries on follow up on guarantees and warranties for customers with issues on supplied equipment.
- Interface with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Interaction with the customers for servicing or installation of items.
- Carry out proper installation of items where required and a brief explanation of the item how to use.
- Respond to calls for service support within a reasonable amount of time
- Work efficiently on repairing or servicing to minimize costs and maximize effectiveness of time.
- Maintain a full working knowledge and repair skills for items in area of responsibility.
- Refer to manuals and repair diagrams –and run through fault finding guides
- Check the fault issues as per the customer feedback.
Main Tasks and Accountabilities
- Explain use and installation of items and a brief explanation of the item how to use where required to customer where appropriate.
- Interact with customers where required.
- Check all documentation related to the servicing and repair.
- Give proper feedback in case of installation pending or delivery not done.
- Complete all paperwork relating to the specific items for servicing or repair.
- Report faults to both sales and Supervisor and service manager.
- Undertake similar or related duties as directed by senior management

Working Environment
A working environment of office and workshop is provided. Time is spent sitting or standing using hand tools. Some local travel may be required.

Background Knowledge and Experience

Education Level – Minimum Preferred
|
A diploma – technical school – electronics technician
A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering |
|
Professional Qualifications or licences |
A light vehicle driving licence is an advantage
|
|
Work Experience |
A least 2-3 years in maintenance of sophisticated state of the art consumer electronic equipment, working with customers and principals Must be disciplined and organised. Training on specific equipment is required. |
